Eligibility
As part of an Australian Government incentive running from 28 February 2022 to 29 February 2024 we’re providing free, fast-tracked skills assessments to eligible applicants.
You may be eligible if you have:
- been granted a family, partner, refugee or humanitarian visa since 1 January 2016 and currently live in Australia.
- qualifications or skills in a nominated occupation and have not yet had a formal skills assessment from Engineers Australia or any other assessing authority.

Assessment process
After you complete the form, if you're eligible to apply for assessment you'll be taken to the portal to complete the application process. Before you start your application, gather all the documents you’ll need and read the detailed information on the migration skills assessment page.
Be sure to read this material thoroughly to ensure your assessment has the best outcome.
Once you've applied, we’ll assess your application and provide you with an outcome within 15 business days.
What next?
You can use your successful assessment outcome letter when you apply for engineering jobs. The letter will improve employer confidence that you have the skills necessary to work in an Australian workplace in your nominated occupation.
